1. Information We Collect

MoodCanvas does not collect any personal data. There is no sign-up and no login, and the app neither requests nor stores identifying information such as your name, email, phone number, or location. Everything you create in the app stays on your device.

• Mood entries — a 1–5 mood level, optional feelings, activity tags, a one-line note, and one optional photo per entry. All saved only in the app's on-device storage (its local database and files).
• App settings — reminders, theme, language, and app-lock preferences, likewise stored only on your device.

2. Data Transmission & Third-Party Sharing

MoodCanvas does not transmit any data off your device or share anything with third parties.

• No backend server — the app makes no network calls for your content.
• No account or login
• No analytics tools
• No crash-reporting SDKs
• No advertising or tracking identifiers (no IDFA usage)

3. Permissions (All Optional & On-Device)

Each permission below is optional and only requested when you use the related feature. In every case, data stays on your device.

• Photos (PhotosPicker) — only the single photo you pick is copied into the app's on-device storage. The app has no broad photo-library access.
• Microphone & Speech Recognition — used only for the optional voice-to-text of a note. Speech is recognized on-device (requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true), and audio is neither saved nor transmitted.
• Face ID / passcode (LocalAuthentication) — used only for the optional app lock. Biometric data never leaves the Secure Enclave, and the app never sees it.
• Local notifications — an optional daily reminder, scheduled on-device with no server involved.

4. Backup & Export

The only time data leaves the app is when you explicitly export a backup file. You generate a full backup (JSON) or a report (PDF) and choose where to save or share it via the iOS share sheet. You control this entirely.

5. Payments (In-App Purchase)

MoodCanvas is free, with an optional one-time lifetime unlock (MoodCanvas Pro, ₩7,000, non-consumable). All payments are handled by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. MoodCanvas never sees or stores your payment details such as card numbers. Purchase restoration is performed through your Apple account.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• Because all data lives only on your device, you retain full control at all times.
• You can edit or delete any entry directly inside the app.
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data with it. No server copy exists. Your in-app purchase entitlement can be restored through your Apple account.

7. Accounts & Login

MoodCanvas requires no account, no login, and no identifiers such as email, phone number, or social sign-in.

8. Children's Privacy

MoodCanvas is designed to be safe for general audiences. Because it collects no data at all, no personal information is gathered from anyone, including children.

9. Your Rights

Because all data stays on your device, you can exercise access, correction, and deletion rights directly through the in-app UI and iOS system settings. For GDPR / CCPA / other regulatory questions, contact us using the address below.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version and a new effective date will be posted on this page.
