Privacy Policy — Listenary

Effective: August 13, 2026 · Last updated: August 13, 2026

Summary: Listenary collects no personal data. Imported audio, transcripts, highlights and notes, playback position and settings all stay on your device. There are no accounts, no servers of ours, and no analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs. Speech recognition uses Apple's on-device recognition — your audio is not sent to Apple's servers.

1. Information we collect

Listenary collects no personal information. There is no sign-up or login, and the app never asks for or stores your name, email, phone number or location.

2. Speech recognition

Transcription runs through Apple's on-device speech recognition. The recognition models are managed by the operating system and your audio never leaves the device. The app requests speech recognition permission for this purpose. The microphone is never used — this app has no recording feature.

3. Network use

Listenary does not use the network for any app feature. Your default browser opens only when you tap the privacy, support or feedback links in Settings yourself. Anything sent then is only what you type into the browser.

4. Third parties

Because nothing is collected, nothing is shared or sold. No advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs are used.

5. Payments

The Pro lifetime unlock is handled by Apple's App Store billing. Apple processes payment details; the app never receives or stores them.

6. Deleting your data

Settings → Storage lets you delete all audio and transcript data at once. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.

7. Copyright

Listenary supports only DRM-free audio files you legally own. It provides no DRM removal, downloading or stream-ripping. Export is limited to the sentences you highlighted and the notes you wrote.

8. Children

This app is not directed at children and collects no information from them.
