Privacy Policy — Habit Hatch

Summary: Habit Hatch collects no personal data. Your routines, completion logs, pet's growth state, and settings are stored only on your device (via SwiftData) and never leave it. There is no server, no account or login, and no analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs of any kind.

1. Information We Collect

Habit Hatch does not collect personal information. There is no sign-up or login, and we never request or store any identifying information such as name, email, phone number, or location. Nothing you create in the app is transmitted to any external server.

Routines / completion logs / streaks — the habits you create and your check-off history. Stored only in the on-device local database (SwiftData).
Pet state — your character's name, XP, stats, growth stage, and mood. Also stored only on your device.
Settings, language, theme, reminder preferences — app configuration values, stored only on your device.

2. Data Transmission & Third-Party Sharing

Habit Hatch does not transmit any data externally or share it with third parties.

No backend server — no network calls are made with your data.
No analytics tools.
No crash-reporting SDKs.
No advertising or tracking identifiers (IDFA).
No sensitive permissions — no location, Health (HealthKit), camera, or photos access.

3. Notifications

Habit Hatch can send local notifications at the routine times you choose. All notifications are scheduled and shown entirely on your device; no notification-related data is sent anywhere. Notification permission is optional and can be declined, or turned off at any time in iOS Settings.

4. Payments (In-App Purchase)

Habit Hatch is free, with an optional one-time lifetime unlock (Habit Hatch Pro). All payments are processed by Apple via the App Store / StoreKit; Habit Hatch never sees or stores payment details such as card numbers. Payment and refund data are handled under Apple's privacy policy. Purchase restoration is performed through your Apple account.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because all data lives only on your device, you have full control over it.
You can edit or delete your routines and records directly in the app.
Deleting the app removes all on-device data (SwiftData) with it. Your in-app purchase entitlement can be restored through your Apple account.

6. Accounts & Login

Habit Hatch requires no account creation or login. It does not request any identifier such as email, phone number, or social sign-in.

7. Children's Privacy

Habit Hatch is designed to be safe for all ages (4+). It collects no personal information from anyone, including children. There is no inappropriate content, no external links, and no user-to-user communication.

8. Your Rights

Since all data resides on your device, your rights to access, correct, and delete it are exercised directly through the in-app UI and iOS system controls. For questions about rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable laws, please use the contact below.

If this policy changes, we will post the changes and their effective date on this page.
